For Immediate Release Contact: Debbie Rubio/Marcia Robbins Los Angeles (September 8, 2004) – The Entertainment Industry Challenge (EIC) again is gearing up with some of Hollywood’s elite. The EIC part of the 18th Annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon is set for Sunday, This year, industry participants include the Disney Tri Team which is headed up by Bob Iger, president and chief operating officer, The Walt Disney Company, along with Steve McPherson, president ABC Entertainment; Rich Ross, president Disney Channel; Andy Bird, president Walt Disney International, Steven Wadsworth, president, Walt Disney Internet Group, and 160 employees from business units across The Walt Disney Company. Other teams taking on Disney are DreamWorks, Sony, William Morris Agency, ICM to name a few. The company that raises the most donations for the Foundation will receive the EGPAF Spirit Plaque with the Studio Cup awarded to the company with the fastest times (individual or relay). Last year’s winner, Disney raised over $55,000 and has been training to exceed that amount this year. Joining the Hollywood executives are a large number of celebrities including William H. Macy (Film-Cellular),Tate Donovan (The OC) Jon Cryer (Two And A Half Men), Emily Procter (CSI:Miami), Mark Paul Gosselaar (NYPD Blue), Kelli Williams (Medical Investigation) Ingo Rademacher (General Hospital) teen stars & brother and sister Bobby & Ashley Edner along with Ryan Sutter (The Bachelorette). The event festivities kick off at 7 a.m. and include a celebrity VIP Brunch, Tot Trot, Interactive Booths, Sand Castle Demo and Celebrity and Sports Award Presentations. Registration is open to all.
