The Nautica Malibu Triathlon is Proud to Announce its Partnership with Equinox

LOS ANGELES, CA (April, 2013) – MESP, Inc. is proud to announce a multi-year partnership with Equinox as the Presenting Sponsor and Official Health Club of the Nautica Malibu Triathlon. “The Equinox slogan 'It’s Not Fitness, It’s Life’ is a belief that is aligned with the core values at MESP, making for the perfect partnership between Equinox and the Nautica Malibu Triathlon,” states Michael Epstein, President of MESP. The Equinox partnership provides athletes with unparalleled high-quality experiences both at its fitness clubs and at the race to promote overall well-being.

Additionally, Equinox has reserved 100 Triathlon entries which will be awarded to top finishers in their Equinox Indoor Triathlon, taking place at Equinox fitness clubs nationwide in May.

The 27th Annual Nautica Malibu Triathlon presented by Equinox takes place on Sunday, September 8th and features a half mile ocean swim, an 18-mile bike ride along the Pacific Coast Highway and ends with a 4 mile scenic run to Point Dume and back. The Herbalife International Distance Race, which occurs on Saturday September 7th, challenges participants with a 1.5K ocean swim, a 40K out-and-back bike course along the Pacific Coast Highway, and a 10K out-and-back run course along the sands of Zuma Beach. Families and supporters of the Nautica Malibu Triathlon presented by Equinox can also participate in other weekend activities such as the Nautica Kid’s Run and Tot Trot and enjoy activities at the Fun Zone.

Fundraising proceeds from the Nautica Malibu Triathlon presented by Equinox benefit Children's Hospital Los Angeles' Pediatric Cancer Research Program, which is dedicated to curing and preventing childhood cancers. The program provides groundbreaking treatments and therapies for children with some of the most serious and life-threatening forms of cancer and blood disease. Since partnering with Children's Hospital Los Angeles in 2007, the event has raised more than $6 million for the cause.
